The 3rd movement of the separately sold Petite suite op.15 by McKay is an allegro moderato with emphasis on a dotted rhythmic figure and simple chord progressions. Intended as a suite for beginners with limited range, this work is not quite suited for the very early student due to its demands in articulation and dynamics. It is however one of the few original compositions for beginner’s quartet, and so recommended for that purpose – if all the single movements can be found.
