Performance Notes
An arrangement of a short work by Italian Renaissance composer Orazio Vecchi, The cricket is typical for music of the time, with mostly homophonic progressions in the first part, and a fugal second half. Arranged for four horns or trumpets, this work is now out of print, but would otherwise be ideal for a beginning quartet.
