Creator's Comments
Pasticcio is an arrangement of pieces from the vocal and instrumental literature of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Dynamics marks are editorial; they should not be considered restrictive in nature, but may be modified by performers as the piece becomes familiar to them.
Performance Notes
A "pasticcio" is a work assembled from previously existing pieces, which does not exactly apply to this publications. It is more of a collection of arrangements of works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, by the composers outlined above. The works are not named, and unless one knows them it is near impossible to find out unless one wants to spend hours and hours researching. This work could be interesting for the beginning quartet, with some challenges in terms of register (up to bb2 and down to F).
