Performance Notes
The Petite suite op.15, on the publisher’s adverts, is advertised as being “in restricted – two octave – range. This not entirely true for the 2nd movement, which is restricted, within each part, to a single octave. The reasons why the work was not rated very easy, is because the first part is slightly high, the 4th part is a bit low, and there are several long notes that need to be sustained through a slow tempo. Very little else can be said about this short work, with the exception that it is played mutes in its entirety, dedicated to Paige Wood, and usually sold separately to the other movements without advertising that it is part of a larger work.
