Performance Notes
This is a typical intrada, with a fanfare-like opening (containing both triplets and duplets), and a forceful (and high) theme. The main difficulty in this work lies in the unprepared high and loud attacks, with b2 and c3 at fff required with sometimes rests, or notes more than octave lower beforehand. Aside from that, the piece is effective, and a good opener for a horn octet / ensemble concert.
