Performance Notes:
This is a straight-forward transcription of the fugue in c minor, with a distribution of parts that follows the standard orchestral section (1-3-2-4). The original key was transposed into horn pitch, so the arrangement is actually in F minor (sounding pitch). Being a 3-voice fugue, the four parts (of the arrangement) have ample rests and time to regenerate (there are some high passages). Nevertheless, given Bach’s excellent voice leading, the difficulty is medium, and therefore accessible to most ensembles.
