Performance Notes:

In excelsis Deo is a borderline easy work (almost very easy), with very limited range in all parts, and the same rhythmic pattern all the way through. Some contrast is achieved by alternating between muted piano and open forte 2-bar phrases, a contrast that is however eliminated in the second half of the piece to give way to brief sequential writing. Recommended as an early ensemble piece.
